I've had the good fortune of working with several successful entrepreneurial business people over my 30 year career.  Entrepreneurs are found in every industry.  They are interesting people and I personally find them energizing and enjoyable to be around.  Some might be surprised that not all entrepreneurial types own their own business.  While three out of the four I worked for did, it is not necessarily a requirement. 

 I am sure many readers have their own observations around entrepreneurs.  Here are some characteristics I've observed:

• Energetic:  I've never encountered a lazy, succesful entrepreneur.  They are all full of energy and determined to be successful.  Their energy does not seem to subside even when they hit their financial goals.  Perhaps "Maslow" was right.
• Determined:  I've also never met a undecisive entrepreneur when it comes to their business vision.  Most are laser-focused and will run through a brick wall if it means obtaining their objectives.
• Optimistic:  I'm not saying all entrepreneurs are cheerleaders around life's challenges.  What I am saying is they are optimistic about their chances of obtaining their goals and becoming successful.  They all seem to have a "can do" attitude. 
• Confidence:  Another characteristic is confidence.  I'm not talking arrogance but rather confidence.  They believe in their idea, their team, their vision and themself.
• Passion:  Last but not least entrepreneurs have passion and lots of it.  The people I know are gung-ho about what they do, love a challenge and want to win.  They go after their goals with gusto!
