The Small Business Assistance Program |

The Small Business Assistance Program is a joint program of the Community Action Committee of Lehigh Valley (CACLV) and the Lehigh Valley SCORE. The program provides free technical assistance from trained staff and volunteers, as well as a range of professional services to qualifying small businesses in the Lehigh Valley. These professional services are available through vouchers in amounts up to $5,000. The program is funded by a one-time grant to CACLV under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Business Qualifications for Vouchers
In order for businesses to qualify for this program, they must meet the following criteria:
• Businesses must have been in operation for at least one year.
• The place of business must be within Northampton or Lehigh counties.
• The business owner must be a resident of either Northampton or Lehigh counties.
• The business owner must be a US citizen or have permanent resident status.
• Owner’s family income must be less than 2 times the 2009 Federal Poverty Guideline (For example, $44,100 for a family of four).

CACLV provides entrepreneurial training, technical assistance, and loans to micro enterprises through its subsidiary corporations, Community Action Development Corporation of Allentown, Community Action Development Corporation of Bethlehem, and the Rising Tide Community Loan Fund.
